This is a real life story that happened shortly after we got our very first lizard. It could have turned out so bad...but lucky us, it had a happy ending!

When we first got Snoozy, he loved hiding behind the waterfall. We went to play outside for a bit and when we came back, we couldn't find him/her anywhere. We were so stressed out and we turned the house upside down looking for him.
“If you ever think your leopard gecko has escaped, check for any small gaps and carefully look and look again in their enclosure, they rarely venture far”
After hours of looking everywhere, maman went on internet and read articles to find out what escaping leopard geckos usually do. We decided to to have another look and dad finally found Snoozy. You won't believe it, he was in the terrarium all along. It was such a relief!
I bet you wonder where he was hiding now. Snoozy was in the waterfall. There is a small hole for him to go in where the cord comes out. Snoozy went through that little whole that is about 1 cm square. It is a TINY hole! All of that happened the second day after we got him...the "FAKE" escape day.
Because it is a juvenile leopard gecko, we have now put blue tack to block the whole and stop Snoozy from pulling that trick again.

Great first blog Jake!
